A Tax Model file consists of a 1% sample from the taxpayers file. Thus, multiplying the file summaries by 100 produces an estimate of the taxpayer population.
Fast Analysis produces both SAS, STATA and SPSS programs for reading downloaded files. The SAS program includes additional computed variables such as deductions and credits.
Please note that Fast Analysis Tax Model filesare not identical to those in the ISDC regular collections. In order to protect statistical confidentiality, geographical identifiers have been removed and few other variables have been top-recoded.Code of locality has been removed, age 91 represents ages 91+ and value 5 in "number of children" represents 5+ children in an age group.
If your research work requires the removed variables, you'll better apply for the original dataset through the standard ISDC procedures .
Classification of 3 digits Economic Branch can be found in the appendix. When the actual code is 4 digits long, the classification refers to the left 3 digits.
